Gymnema extract is a plant from India. In this country it is called gudmar, which would translate to: sugar destroyer 1 . And indeed, it is among the best regulators of blood sugar levels, being widely used against type 2 diabetes and its complications. But also for regulating and/or maintaining optimal body weight and adipose tissue within normal limits. Gymnema is recommended for all those who have a Western-type diet 3 , with many products containing sugar or starch, with fast food or industrially processed products.
Physiological actions:
- supports normal carbohydrate metabolism
- supports the proper functioning of the liver and pancreas
- contributes to the maintenance of normal processes of excretion of toxins and metabolic waste
- contributes to maintaining within normal limits the proportion of adipose tissue
Gymnema extract composition:
- Gymnema ( Gymnema sylvestris ), aerial parts, extract with min 25% gymnemic acid: 150mg;
- Gymnema ( Gymnema sylvestre ), aerial parts, powder: 150mg;
- hard gelatin capsule.
Method of administration:
Take 2-4 capsules per day, per day. In the first 3 days, one capsule per day is administered, then increasing the dose – depending on intestinal transit – up to the maximum of 4 capsules per day. If the intestinal transit is too intense, the dose will be reduced accordingly.
Precautions and contraindications:
The product is a strong laxative, so it should be administered with caution.
